I've been doing some research and am surprised there's not a whole thread on it, but maybe that's because it's a simple problem and I'm SOL.I've switched over from Windows to Mint 15 on my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop. Most everything is working fine yet almost all of the specific hardware drivers are unresponsive.
Things like my screen illumination and my sound are what I've noticed most. I go to HP.com to download these drivers and of course it tells me to 'Select and Operating System' and gives me the amazingly wide range of Windows 7 or Windows 8.sSo. Hazmat modine bahamut mp3 download. I need drivers.
And HP only writes them for Windows.cough. typical comsumerism.cough.

It also can tell you who made what components, so Realtek or Intel audio chipsets, Broadcom wireless, etc. From there you can get an idea as to what degree of support your hardware has by taking a look through the forums (or having some intrepid soul pipe up). Please test it with your livecd and see which device doesn't work (wifi, bluetooth, speaker, etc). If the device works, it means that we already have the driver for it.anyway, since the the system is different, you might feel that the sound experience is different.

Please don't worry about it. It's doesn't mean that you lost your beats speaker. You only need to tune the sound to get your setting on windows again.

And, this case is ONLY for network drivers, none other.ndiswrapper driver(s) aren't needed. If i'm not mistaken you have a broadcom network adaptor onboard (i installed Mint 13 on a HP Pavilion DV7 1130ed notebook) and i had to install the b43-fwcutter driver. But when you ope n the Additional drivers menu, there you can install the correct Broadcom driver.
